Former Apple Designer Crafts the First Electric Ferrari Interior: Here’s the Vibe
Despite the dual-screen setup that dominates the dashboard, the cabin feels surprisingly analog. This "old-school meets new-school" aesthetic is achieved through retro-inspired nods—like the classic three-spoke steering wheel and a triple-gauge virtual cluster—alongside a satisfying array of physical controls. We’re talking tactile toggles, knurled dials, and switches that feel more like high-end luxury timepieces than car parts.
"Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works. In the case of a Ferrari, it’s about the emotional connection between the driver and the machine," — Sir Jony Ive, former Apple Chief Design Officer and co-founder of LoveFrom.

The creators are flexing surgical precision when it comes to the assembly. Ferrari is obsessing over "millimeter-perfect" tolerances and gap consistency that would make even the most hardcore luxury enthusiast blush. This level of craftsmanship is largely thanks to the extensive use of machined aluminum, which allows for much tighter specs and a more premium feel compared to the standard plastics found in typical EVs.
When it came to the dashboard graphics, the design team went full Top Gun, drawing inspiration from vintage avionics and helicopter cockpits. Much like the latest iPhone, the display quality is next-level. The instrument cluster utilizes a Samsung OLED matrix, delivering "inky" deep blacks and a parallax effect that gives the virtual scales a stunning sense of depth. In a cool twist, the physical needle remains mechanical, bridging the gap between digital tech and heritage. There is even a secondary data panel mounted on the ceiling near the rearview mirror—another direct nod to fighter jet cockpits that adds a serious dose of "main character energy" to the driving experience.
